❇️ UNDER THE PROPAGANDA is the musical project of Chilean artist and producer Luis López, offering a journey through Lo-Fi textures, naturally intertwining lyrics in English and Spanish with rhythmic foundations that subtly draw from Latin grooves within an indie-pop setting.
❇️ Lo-Fi aesthetics and analog textures: In contrast to the high-fidelity sound that dominates today’s music industry, the project embraces the warmth and imperfections of low fidelity, creating immersive, nostalgic, and highly organic atmospheres. Its sound constantly evolves through experimentation with different producers and international collaborations, while always maintaining an intimate emotional honesty.
❇️ The songs are built around layers of synthesizers, guitars with subtle effects, and fluid melodies that invite introspection. The project draws direct influences from international indie and alternative acts such as Foals, Far Caspian, Unknown Mortal Orchestra and Inner Wave. The project is currently developing its second full-length album, “CIAOCIAO,” while expanding its live presence throughout Chile and seeking new opportunities internationally.

The project has been featured by international media outlets including Billboard Argentina, Rolling Stone México and Remezcla.

✅ AY! (Debut album, 2023). Combines lo-fi textures, Latin rhythms, and bilingual lyrics in English and Spanish. The album seeks to reclaim the traditional idea of the record as a unified whole, moving away from the pressure to release isolated singles.
